Today we drilled all of our holes. Our teacher is going to get 4 pipes for us and then we will be able to put the shelf together.

Its the new year! Our project has completely shattered. Like really shattered. The glass that we had for our project was accidentally broken by our teacher. We have now officially changed our project yet again and we are now making a shelf. Hopefully we'll actually get this project finished.

Today in class we are going to re-measure and then we are going to use the Jig-saw machine.

Today we worked on cutting the rest of the pieces of wood and we splattered paint on the boards.

Today we are working on our blog. The building of our dresser has stopped because we don't have the rails for the inside of our dresser. The rails and putting on the handles on the drawers should be the last part of our building process. After we put together the rails and put on the handles we will go on to painting and marketing.

Today in class we cut the wood. Next week we might have to cut some more but I'm not sure.

Today we collected the wood we needed for the frame. Also we painted the four boards that will be going on the drawers. We still need a few pieces to make the board but when we have them we will start building.

Today in class we are going to finish sanding the drawer and thinking of what material we need. We are also trying to determine the height of the dresser. This way we know what height we need to cut.

11/19/08 Today we made a list of supplies and the amount we need for each item to go shopping for: material, thread, twill tape or webbing.

11/17/08 today we measured for the fabric. We decided that tabs would be best at the top of the curtain. The length of the curtain will be about 5 feet long with a seem on both top and bottom that will be about 6 inches more. The curtain will be about 12 feet wide.

Today we were putting in our RAM. We succeeded! Just in hte nick of time too. Mr. Kelley talked about the RAM, he also talked about the really rich guy, I forgot his name already, but my group knew who he was talking about. Regina was absent today,so she doesn't know how to put in RAM. RAM has improved a lot over the years.

Today we are still trying to put in our motherboard, then once we get done with that we are going to attempt to put in our Processor. We successfully placed our CPU and our motherboard into our computer.

Today Mr. Kelley talked about the motherboards that we are going to put in today. The motherboards were from different companies, they all had video cards, but they had different CPUs. We put in an intel motherboard.

Last class this group got our old computer running and today we are going to put them back and start putting parts in our new computer, we are going to put in the CD ROM and then the Hard Drive, he showed us his neon power supply. We have just put in our CD ROM and we are now trying to figure out how to get the Hard Drive in. It's pretty tricky because there is a stupid pole in the way. WE GOT IT IN!!!!! GO US!

Today we took apart our old computers again. We took the CD rom, floppy, the hard drive, power supply, the ram, the video card, the CPU. After we put the CPU back into the computer.

Today we went over how our grades on our report cards are going look and how they are going to be graded. Mr.Kelley taught us how to add our logo onto the side of our blog. We got our tools and worked on our old computers. We took the disc drive, the floppy drive and the hard drive out of them. This is getting us ready to put our new computers together.

Today Mr. Kelley was not here-he was at a teachers meeting, therefore, we had a substitue.

We also are watching a movei on how CPU's are made....
A CPU is the brain inside of a computer.
1st-w/ ceramic square holds the chip in place, machine goes over it with a sticky substance
2nd- saudering oven 609 degrees.
3rd- tin columns get pasted onto the chip.
4th- bath water to remove any access flux or sauder, or paste
5th- goes into a computer.
That is the process of how a CPU is made.

Today we had to go to newegg.com again and find what the most expensive AMD processors and the least expensive AMD processor. We also had to find the most expensive intel processor and the least expensive intel processor. The most expensive AMD processor is $399.99. The least expensive AMD processor is $305.00. The most expensive intel processor is $1, 209.00. The least expensive intel processor is $35.00. We went over how to add videos to our blogs.

Today we went to newegg.com and found the most expensive and least expensinve intel motherboard and we also did this with AMD motherboards. We found that the most expensive intel motherboard was $599.99 and the least expensive was $18.99. We also found the most expensive AMD motherboard and that cost $346.99 and the least expensive AMD motherboard was $17.99. Today we also were assigned an older computer and we are going to be able to take them apart and put them back together. The final thing we will do is see if the computers will work.
